Starshine Memorials began with a single wish — to keep a loved one close, even when they had journeyed beyond our reach.

Eight years ago, I lost my beloved Nan. She was more than family; she was my biggest believer — the lighthouse guiding me through every storm. After she passed, I would look up at the night sky and find comfort in the thought that she was among the stars, watching over me with the same unwavering love she always had.

That first memorial piece I made for her sparked something bigger. Over time, it grew into Starshine Memorials — a family-run business between mother and daughter, led by me, Kelly, and inspired by my Nan’s enduring light.

I’ve always felt deeply connected to nature. Whether it’s walking along the beach, gazing out over the ocean, or hiking up a mountain trail, I find peace and inspiration in the world around me. These moments remind me that love never truly leaves us — it simply changes form.

Every design I create is shaped by this love of nature: the steady pull of the tides, the peace of a mountain path, the shimmer of sunlight on water. I believe the beauty of the earth and the wonder of the stars can help carry our memories, keeping them safe and radiant.
